Topic
Updated ovirt-hosted-engine-setup packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available.
Description
The ovirt-hosted-engine-setup package provides a self-hosted engine tool for Red Hat Virtualization Manager. A self-hosted engine is a virtualized environment in which the Manager runs on a virtual machine on the hosts managed by the Manager.
Changes to the ovirt-hosted-engine-setup component:
- Previously, when attempting to deploy a self-hosted engine without enough free space on the storage the error message did not show what space was required and only showed the available space. This meant that the user needed to check in the documentation for the minimum required space. Now, a more complete error message is provided. (BZ#1306573)
- Previously, the user was always asked to select a cluster name, even when only was available. This prompt was redundant and could be confusing to the user. Now, the code has been modified to automatically select a cluster if there is only one available and the user is no longer prompted for a cluster name if only one is available. (BZ#1186388)
- Previously, when a user replaced the apache certificate hosted-engine-setup trusted the system defined CA certificate and skipped the certificate question when deploying a second host. This meant that the deployment of the second host failed because the certificate was not actually trusted. Now, hosted-engine-setup no longer skips the certificate question and prompts the user for the correct CA certificate or asks to proceed in insecure mode. (BZ#1321381)
- With this update, hosted-engine --vm-status --json now shows global maintenance mode. (BZ#1353537)
