Synopsis
new package: certmonger
Type/Severity
Product Enhancement Advisory
Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
The certmonger package is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
Description
Certmonger is a service which is primarily concerned with getting your system
enrolled with a certificate authority (CA) and keeping it enrolled.
This new package provides the certmonger utility which can monitor certificates
and warn the system administrator when those certificates are no longer valid.
If it has access to a private key which corresponds to a certain certificate,
and the certificate was issued by a CA which it supports, certmonger can be told
to automatically request a new certificate in case the certificate expires.
(BZ#578204)
All users requiring certmonger should install this newly-released package, which
adds this enhancement.
