This is the upgrade component to the RHN Satellite Server 5.4.0 General
Availability Release.
Description
Red Hat Network Satellite Server provides a solution to organizations requiring
absolute control over and privacy of the maintenance and package deployment of
their servers. It allows organizations to utilize the benefits of Red Hat
Network (RHN) without having to provide public Internet access to their servers
or other client systems. The RHN Satellite Server 5.4.0 may be upgraded from
earlier releases of the RHN Satellite product.
The upgrade documentation for RHN Satellite 5.4.0 specifically covers:
- All steps that must be executed prior to the upgrade.
- Upgrade of RHN Satellite Server with upgrade of underlying operating system.
- Upgrade of RHN Satellite Server on existing operating system.
