Topic
An updated dosfstools package that allows VFAT filesystems labeling is now
available.
Description
The dosfstools package includes the mkdosfs and dosfsck utilities,
which respectively make and check MS-DOS FAT filesystems on hard
drives or on floppies.
This update adds a tool to read and write labels on VFAT filesystems.
All users of dosfstools are advised to upgrade to this updated package,
which adds this enhancement.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
Update Agent, use the following command:
up2date
