Topic
Updated anaconda and pump packages that add various enhancements and fix
various bugs are now available.
Description
The anaconda package contains portions of the installation program which
can be run by the user for reconfiguration and advanced installation
options. The pump package provides a BOOTP and DHCP client daemon used by
anaconda.
The following enhancements have been added:
- Support setting MTU in loader (anaconda and pump)
- Increased initrd size for IBM S/390
The following bugs have been fixed:
- Missing /var/lib/rpm in non-chrooted ks.cfg %post
- Correctly quoting file system types in generated ks.cfg
- Restored syslinux splash screen on CDs
- i5 autopartitioning
- Issues with multiple NICs in kickstart
- Preventing overflow of drvblock.img
All users of anaconda and pump should upgrade to these updated packages,
which add these enhancements and resolve these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:
up2date
This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
