Topic
Updated qemu-kvm-rhev packages are now available for Red Hat Virtualization Hypervisor 6.
Description
KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) is a full virtualization solution for Linux on a variety of architectures. The qemu-kvm-rhev packages provide the user-space component for running virtual machines that use KVM in environments managed by Red Hat products.
This update applies the same security fixes, bug fixes, and enhancements to the qemu-kvm-rhev package as the RHSA-2017:0621 advisory applies to the qemu-kvm package. For details on RHSA-2017:0621, see the link in the References section.
Users of qemu-kvm-rhev are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which apply these changes. After installing this update, shut down all running virtual machines. Once all virtual machines have shut down, start them again for this update to take effect.
