Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated packages that resolve various issues are now available for Red Hat
OpenStack Platform 9.0 (Mitaka) for RHEL 7.
Description
Red Hat OpenStack Platform provides the facilities for building a private
or public infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud running on commonly
available physical hardware.
This advisory fixes the following bug:
- Previously, a bug in processing the output of the 'dd' command caused
the Block Storage volume backup to fail when the output contained non-ascii
Unicode characters, for example, when the system locale was set to a
non-English language.
With this release, the bug in the command output has been fixed in
'os-brick' package. As a result, the Block Storage volume backup succeeds
even when the system is set to a non-English locale. (BZ#1362233)
