A RedHat-Idm-Console update that fixes several bugs and adds one enhancement is now available for Red Hat Directory Server 9.1.
Description
Red Hat Directory Server Windows Console is a console that runs on supported Microsoft Windows hosts. It allows users to manage the Directory Server running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux remotely from Windows machines.
This update provides the bug fixes and enhancements delivered in the RHBA-2015:1094 advisory for the Directory Server Console on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Notably, this update fixes the following bug:
- A bug in the NSS cryptographical library prevented Red Hat Directory Server Windows Console from using the SSL/startTLS protocol when connecting to Red Hat Directory Server. With this update, Windows Console is rebuilt using a fixed NSS library and the connection problem no longer occurs. (BZ#1268199)
In addition, this update provides the following enhancement:
- The Red Hat Directory Server Windows Console has been updated to support the TLS protocol version 1.1 and later. (BZ#1266288)
