RHBA-2013:1416 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
rgmanager bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated rgmanager packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 5.
Description
The rgmanager packages contain the Red Hat Resource Group Manager, which is used
to create and manage high-availability server applications in the event of
system downtime.
This update fixes the following bug:
- File system based resources, such as fs.sh and clusterfs.sh, required usage of
the /tmp directory during status monitoring. If the /tmp directory became full
after mounting the file system, the monitor action failed even though the file
system was correctly mounted. As a consequence, correctly mounted file systems
failed over because the /tmp directory was full. After this update, the /tmp
directory is no longer used during file system monitors and the process does not
fail if the /tmp directory is full. (BZ#1009246)
Users of rgmanager are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix
this bug.
