RHBA-2013:0715 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
python-glanceclient bug fix advisory
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
An updated python-glanceclient package that fixes two bugs is now available for
Red Hat OpenStack 2.1 (Folsom).
Description
The python-glanceclient package is a client for the OpenStack Glance API. There
is a Python API (the glanceclient module), and a command-line script (glance).
Each implements 100% of the OpenStack Glance API.
This updated package addresses the following issues:
- Prior to this release, pressing control-C to interrupt an image download
by Glance would cause a stack trace to be displayed. With this update,
control-C is properly managed, a message is displayed saying the
glance-client is being terminated and no stack trace is displayed.
(BZ#893041)
- This updated package now explicitly depends on pyOpenSSL, so that
administrators no longer need to install the pyOpenSSL dependency
manually, as was required in some cases. (BZ#928440)
All users of Red Hat OpenStack 2.1 (Folsom) and Red Hat OpenStack 2.0 (Folsom)
Preview are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which resolves these
issues.
