Updated spice-protocol packages that fix multiple bugs and add various
enhancements are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The spice-protocol packages provide header files to describe the SPICE protocol
and the QXL para-virtualized graphics card. The SPICE protocol is needed to
build newer versions of the spice-client and the spice-server packages.

The spice-protocol package has been upgraded to upstream version 0.12.2, which
provides a number of enhancements over the previous version, including support
for USB redirection. (BZ#842352)

This update also adds the following enhancement:

• This update adds support for seamless migration to the spice-protocol

packages. (BZ#846910)

All users who build spice packages are advised to upgrade to these updated
packages, which fix these bugs and add these enhancements.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
