system-config-bind bug fix update

Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated system-config-bind packages that fix one bug are now available for Red
Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
Description
The system-config-bind packages provide a graphical user interface (GUI) to
configure the Berkeley Internet Name Domain (BIND) Domain Name System (DNS)
server.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Prior to this update, the system-config-bind tool did not correctly handle
IPv6 addresses without at least one zero sequence. As a consequence,
system-config-bind could fail to start with the error "string index out of
range" when the full IPv6 address in a configuration file did not contain any
zero sequence. This update modifies the underlying code to handle IPv6 addresses
without a zero-sequence as expected. Now, all IPv6 addresses can be used.
(BZ#669757)
All users of system-config-bind are advised to upgrade to these updated
packages, which fix this bug.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.
