Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
An updated rhn-upgrade package that fixes two bugs is now available for Red Hat
Network Satellite 5.5.
Description
Red Hat Network Satellite is a system management tool for Linux-based
infrastructures. It allows for the provisioning, remote management and
monitoring of multiple Linux deployments with a single, centralized tool.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- Red Hat Network Satellite 5.5 upgrade documentation has been fixed: users are
now instructed to extend the database tablespaces first and create the backup
later; not vice versa. (BZ#860598)
- Due to a bug in Satellite schema upgrade script, the schema upgrade to
Satellite 5.5 could fail with a constraint violation error. This update corrects
the script, and the schema upgrade to Satellite 5.5 now finishes successfully.
(BZ#867408)
All Users of Red Hat Network Satellite are advised to upgrade to this updated
package, which fixes this bug.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
