dstat bug fix update

Bug Fix Advisory

Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
An updated dstat package that fixes two bugs is now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 5.
Description
The dstat package provides a replacement for the vmstat, iostat, and netstat
tools. The dstat tool can be used for performance tuning tests, benchmarks, and
troubleshooting.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- Prior to this update, the main Python script used the interpreter line
"#!/usr/bin/env python". As a result, an incorrect Python version could be used
during the execution. With this update, the interpreter line is changed and uses
the path /usr/bin/python. Now, the correct Python version is used. (BZ#521340)
- Prior to this update, dstat was exited unexpectedly when heavy input/output
(I/O) load was generated. This update modifies the code so that dstat continues
to report data as expected even under load. (BZ#709459)
All dstat users are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which fixes
these bugs.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
