RHBA-2011:1183 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
lvm2-cluster bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated lvm2-cluster package that fixes one bug is now available as part of
the ongoing support and maintenance of Red Hat Global File System.
Description
The lvm2-cluster package provides support for Logical Volume Management in a
clustered environment.
This update fixes the following bug:
Prior to this update, written metadata could contain wrong names for the missing
physical volumes if more physical volumes were missing in the volume group. Due
to this behavior, the metadata for the whole volume group was wrongly detected
as incorrect. This update enforces the use of the universally unique identifier
(UUID) of the physical volume to reference physical volumes. In clustered
environments, this bug fix must be applied together with the current
lvm2-cluster advisory.(BZ#702308)
All lvm2-cluster users are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
fixes this bug.
