RHBA-2010:0648 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
xorg-x11-server bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated xorg-x11-server packages that fix a bug are now available.
Description
X.org X11 is an open source implementation of the X Window System. It provides
the basic low level functionality upon which full fledged graphical user
interfaces such as GNOME and KDE are designed.
These updated xorg-x11-server packages fix the following bug:
- although the previous bug fix resolved the gnome-screensaver locking issue for
certain hardware, it caused the same issue to occur on a different set of
machines. With this update, this error has been fixed, and locking the screen in
GNOME now works as expected. (BZ#574382)
All users of xorg-x11-server are advised to upgrade to these updated packages,
which resolve this issue.
