RHBA-2010:0366 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
gfs2-utils bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated gfs2-utils package that corrects a number of shortcomings in the
fsck.gfs2 utility is now available.
Description
The gfs2-utils packages provide the user-space tools necessary to mount,
create, maintain and test GFS2 file systems.
This updated gfs2-utils package fixes the following bug:
- The fsck.gfs2 utility sometimes needed to be run twice in order to repair
all file system errors. The fix for this problem corrects a number of
shortcomings in the previous version of the fsck.gfs2 utility. With this
update, fsck.gfs2 need only be run once in order to properly repair all of
the errors in a GFS2 file system. (BZ#536842)
All GFS2 users are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
