Topic
An updated autofs5 package that fixes a bug which caused autofs5 to be
unable to connect to an LDAP server after an idle period is now available.
Description
The autofs5 utility controls the operation of the automount daemon, which
automatically mounts, and then unmounts file systems after a period of
inactivity. File systems can include network file systems, CD-ROMs,
diskettes, and other media.
This updated autofs5 package fixes the following bug:
This updated autofs5 package fixes a problem whereby an autofs map that
used an LDAP-authenticated bind became unable to connect to the LDAP server
after a period of inactivity. The problem was caused by autofs5 not
properly refreshing the Kerberos ticket after it had expired. (BZ#486927)
All users of autofs5 are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
