Topic
Updated gfs2-utils packages that fix various bugs are now available.
Description
The gfs2-utils packages provide the user-space tools necessary to mount,
create, maintain and test GFS2 file systems.
The updated gfs2-utils packages apply the following bug fixes:
- gfs2_tool counters has been removed (same information can be found in
/proc/slabinfo.
- gfs2 utilities have been updated to use the new gfs2meta fs.
- mkfs.gfs2 no longer will mkfs on a mounted filesystem.
- gfs2_fsck now properly handles extended attribute blocks.
- gfs2_edit has been update to better deal with non-4k blocksizes and other
issues.
- mkfs.gfs2 now supports a command-line option to specify the filesystem size.
- gfs2_fsck will now run on gfs2 filesystems without a 4k block size.
- gfs2_fsck no longer causes a segmentation fault after adding extended
attributes to a file system.
- gfs2_edit is now able to properly save the metadata of a GFS filesystem.
- gfs2_convert now properly takes into account the indirect blocks in a GFS
filesystem.
- The gfs2 utilities can now properly determine if a GFS2 filesystem is
already mounted.
All users of gfs2-utils should upgrade to these updated packages, which
resolve these issues.
