Details

An updated coreutils package that fixes a bug with the date command's
output width is now available.

The coreutils package contains core GNU utilities. It is a combination of
the old GNU fileutils, sh-utils, and textutils packages.

This updated coreutils package fixes a bug which occurred when calling the
date command and attempting to set the output width to a length less than
9. For example, calling 'date + "%xN"', where x was an integer value
representing the desired display width, always resulted in a displayed date
value of width 9. In these updated packages, the date command will print
output that corresponds to the specified width, thus resolving this issue.

All users of coreutils are advised to upgrade to this updated package,
which resolves this issue.
