Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
An updated lvm2 package that fixes a bug is now available.
Description
The lvm2 package contains support for Logical Volume Management (LVM).
This updated lvm2 package fixes a bug with the lvconvert utility, which
failed when the conversion of a mirror to a linear volume was requested, a
PV (physical volume) was specified, and all extents on the PV had already
been allocated. In this updated package, using lvconvert to perform this
operation under these conditions succeeds as expected, thus resolving the
issue.
All users of lvm2 are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
