RHBA-2008:0874 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
fence bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated fence package that fixes a bug is now available.
Description
The fence package allows failed or unreachable nodes to be forcibly
restarted and removed from the cluster.
This updated fence package fixes the following bug:
- the fence_egenera fencing agent now properly detects when a node is
restarting, which prevents a fence storm (i.e. continual fencing of the
node) from occurring.
All users of fence are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
