RHBA-2008:0792 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
system-config-cluster bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated system-config-cluster package that fixes several bugs is now
available.
Description
The system-config-cluster package contains system-config-cluster, a utility
that allows you to graphically manage cluster configuration.
This updated package fixes the following bugs:
- if "system-config-cluster" was ran on a system that did not have the
fonts-xorg-base package installed, a "No fonts found" error occurred. Now,
the system-config-cluster package depends on the fonts-xorg-base package,
which resolves this issue.
- the system-config-cluster GUI application stripped the "option"
parameter setting from "cluster.conf". In this updated package, the
system-config-cluster GUI application no longer strips parameters from
"cluster.conf".
- a "failoverdomain" setting in "cluster.conf" may have resulted in
system-config-cluster failing to start. In these situations, running
"system-config-cluster" caused a traceback and a "SyntaxError: invalid
syntax" error.
- if an NFS export resource was configured in "cluster.conf", and then
system-config-cluster was used to add a new client resource to the NFS
export resource, leaving the path field blank resulted in the service
failing to start, and the following errors:
clurgmgrd[PID]: <info> Starting changed resources.
clurgmgrd[PID]: <err> No export path specified.
- system-config-cluster looked for "/usr/sbin/cman_tool", which is
incorrect on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. After installing or upgrading to
"system-config-cluster-1.0.51-2.0.el4_6.1", running "system-config-cluster"
and navigating to the "Management" tab caused an error such as the
following:
Node information is temporarily unavailable.
A problem was encountered when attempting to get information about the
nodes in the cluster: /bin/bash: /usr/sbin/cman_tool: No such file or
directory
A traceback error may have occurred. As well, in the "Management" tab, the
"Name" and "Status" columns in the "Members" section showed incorrect
values. In this updated package, a "/usr/sbin/cman_tool" symbolic link
pointing to "/sbin/cman_tool" has been added.
- running "system-config-cluster" may have caused a flood of
"libglade-WARNING **: unknown property" messages.
Users of system-config-cluster are advised to upgrade to this updated
package, which resolves these issues.
