Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
An updated lvm2-cluster package that fixes several bugs is now available.
Description
The lvm2-cluster package contains support for Logical Volume Management
(LVM) in a clustered environment.
This update ensures that the bugs fixed by the lvm2 advisory RHBA-2008:0083
are also fixed in a clustered environment.
This updated package fixes the following bugs:
- adds clvmd backup VG metadata on remote nodes.
- decodes cluster locking state in log messages.
- when an LV is active on other cluster nodes, running the "lvremove"
command now prompts for the removal of such an LV.
- the "clvmd -R" command fully refreshes the device cache in this updated
package.
- the "clvmd -d [-C]" command now allows you to turn on clvmd debugging in
a running daemon.
- a possible crash in clusters with more than 50 nodes has been resolved.
- a potential deadlock in clvmd thread handling has been resolved.
Users of lvm2-cluster are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves these issue.
