Topic
Updated redhat-ds-base packages that fix a bug are now available.
Description
Red Hat Directory Server is an LDAPv3 compliant server. The redhat-ds-base
packages include the LDAP server and command line utilities for server
administration.
These updated packages address the following issue:
- when an extensible matching search filter (that is, a search filter which
specified a matching rule) was used in a search request, a memory leak
occurred. Specifically, a linked list was created but only the memory
allocated for the first item in the list was freed when the list was no
longer required. This updated package frees the memory used by the whole
linked list, closing the leak.
Red Hat Directory Server users are advised to upgrade to these updated
packages, which resolve this issue.
