An updated zip package that fixes various problems is now
available.
Description
The zip program is an archiving utility that can create ZIP-compatible
archives.
This update fixes the following two bugs:
- The zip program would segfault on big files on ppc64 and AMD64 systems.
- The zip program did not honor the umask setting when creating archives.
Users of zip should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves these
issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
Update Agent, use the following command:
up2date
