RHBA-2007:1032 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
vsftpd bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated vsftpd packages that fix several bugs are now available.
Description
The vsftpd packages include a very secure File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
daemon.
These updated packages fix the following bugs:
- the FTP "append" command did not work. Instead of appending to a
specified file, a new destination file is created. In these updated
packages the "append" command works as expected.
- FTP log in attempts to the vsftpd server frequently fail with a "500
OOPS: cannot open config file:[configuration file]" error, where
"[configuration file]" is the path to your configuration file, even though
the configuration file is correct.
All users of vsftpd should upgrade to these updated packages, which
resolve these issues.
