Description
Kudzu is a hardware probing tool run at system boot time to determine
what hardware has been added or removed from the system.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- kudzu crashed when /proc/scsi/scsi was corrupted
- serial consoles higher than /dev/ttyS3 could not be found
- module_upgrade did not correctly handle some Qlogic devices
- the SCSI probe was incomplete on machines with many SCSI devices
Support has been added for IBM eHEA network adapters and IBM zSeries FBA
DASD devices. Support for Xen virtual block and network devices has also
been added, for running a paravirtualized Red Hat Enterprise Linux
installation.
It is recommended that all users upgrade to these updated packages.
