Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated coreutils packages that fix several bugs are now available.
Description
The coreutils package contains core GNU utilities. It is the combination
of the old GNU fileutils, sh-utils, and textutils packages.
This update applies the following bug fixes:
- An anomaly with US 2007 daylight savings was fixed in the date(1) command.
- The df(1) command now classifies CIFS mounts as remote so they do not
show in 'df -l' output.
- The stat(1) command was fixed to use an unsigned type to store the inode
number; this prevents negative inode numbers being shown.
- A problem in the colorls.csh profile script was corrected.
- Fixed: when using the -Z option to cp(1), the SELinux context did not get
set on an existing destination file.
- Fixed: the join(1) command rejected some old-style options.
- The runuser(1) command now allows the setting of a group list.
- The runuser(1) man page was updated to clarify its behavior.
Users should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve these issues.
