RHBA-2007:0134 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
cman bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated cman packages that fix various bugs are now available
Description
The cman utility provides user-level services for managing a linux cluster.
This update applies the following fixes:
- The cluster_id field was added to the cluster.conf file.
- A bug which caused a gulm notification message to be skipped was fixed.
- qdisk now runs with no heuristics.
- A bug which caused a service to migrate to a previously failed node which
failed to mount the shared storage has been fixed.
- A bug which caused qdisk to not wait long enough before declaring itself
a master was fixed.
- The qdisk man page was updated to fix an incomplete warning.
- Too small of a min_score when configuring qdisk is now detected.
All users of cman should upgrade to this update, which applies these fixes.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
To update all RPMs for your particular architecture, run:
rpm -Fvh [filenames]
where [filenames] is a list of the RPMs you wish to upgrade. Only those
RPMs which are currently installed will be updated. Those RPMs which are
not installed but included in the list will not be updated. Note that you
can also use wildcards (*.rpm) if your current directory *only* contains the
desired RPMs.
Please note that this update is also available via Red Hat Network. Many
people find this an easier way to apply updates. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:
up2date
This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
