RHBA-2006:0455 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
pdksh bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated pdksh packages are now available.
Description
The pdksh package contains PD-ksh, a clone of the Korn shell (ksh).
The ksh shell is a command interpreter intended for both interactive
and shell script use. Ksh's command language is a superset of the sh
shell language.
Emacs and gmacs modes in pdksh did not display the typed-in commands when
the command prompt was set to a very long string.
Nested use of 'set -m' to monitor background processes did not work.
Users should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:
up2date
This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
