Updated up2date packages that fix several bugs are now available.
Description
The Red Hat Update Agent that automatically queries the Red Hat Network
servers and determines which packages need to be updated on your machine.
- closing the 'Network Configuration' window stalls firstboot
- running up2date no longer generates 'unknown property' errors
- 'up2date --configure' always saves changes if useNetwork is false
on startup
- up2date man page now describes the '--undo' option
- 'up2date --configure' no longer fails when failover serverURL is configured
- up2date 'forward' button is no longer disabled if packages are selected
via the spacebar
- up2date no longer outputs 'foo' when the server listed within the
serverURL is not working
- the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 Update 6 versions of Openoffice.org and
up2date no longer cause a dependency error that created a potential
security issue
- up2date window size no longer appears larger than the screen resolution
- up2date no longer attemtps to install a package that is already installed
- up2date no longer generates "Invalid function call attempted" when
installing a RHN proxy
- up2date no longer updates primary arch if package is out of date instead
of arch specified.
All users of up2date should upgrade to these updated packages, which
resolve these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:
up2date
This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
