Updated kudzu packages that fix various bugs are now available.
Description
Kudzu is a hardware probing tool that runs at system boot time to determine
what hardware has been added or removed from the system.
The following issues have been addressed in this updated package:
- kudzu would segfault based on bad input in some cases
- kudzu would not correctly catch when network devices were changed
Also, support has been added for FDDI devices.
Users of kudzu should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve
these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:
up2date
This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
