RHBA-2005:450 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated mktemp package
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated mktemp package that fixes a bug is now available for Red
Hat Enterprise Linux 3.
Description
The mktemp utility takes a given file name template and overwrites a
portion of it to create a unique file name. This allows shell scripts
and other programs to safely create and use /tmp files.
Previously, if the user used the option -t of mktemp in shell scripts,
it would break with errors.
Users of the mktemp package should upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
