RHBA-2005:250 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
nautilus bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated nautilus package that fixes a performance bug is now available.
Description
Nautilus integrates access to files, applications, media, Internet-based
resources, and the Web. Nautilus delivers a dynamic and rich user
experience. Nautilus is a free software project developed under the GNU
General Public License and is a core component of the GNOME desktop project.
Opening the properties dialog for a file could take a very long time
(several minutes). This only occurred while using NIS with several
thousands groups. This updated package utilizes a different way to retrieve
the group lists, which now optimizes performance.
All users of nautilus should upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
