Topic
Updated parted packages that fix support for 1 terabyte (TB) partitions are
now available.
Description
The GNU parted program allows you to create, destroy, resize, move,
and copy hard disk partitions. parted can be used for creating space
for new operating systems, reorganizing disk usage, and copying data
to new hard disks.
A problem existed where incorrect partition information would be output for
partitions over 1 TB in size. This has been fixed.
All users of parted should upgrade to these updated packages, which
resolve this issue.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
Update Agent, use the following command:
up2date
