RHBA-2005:185 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
pstack bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated pstack package that fixes NPTL issues and adds multiple
architecture support is now available.
Description
The pstack utility prints a stack trace of a running process. If the named
process is part of a thread group, then all the threads in the group are
traced.
The previous version of pstack only worked on the i386 architechture.
Additionally, pstack did not work with the new NPTL threads library.
By using GDB, the updated pstack packages remove both of these limitations.
All users of pstack should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves
this issue.
