RHBA-2005:127 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
hotplug bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated hotplug package that fixes a minor bug is now available.
Description
The term "hotplugging" refers to the dynamic reconfiguration performed
after a device has been attached to a running system. This package
contains the hotplug application that is called by the kernel when various
devices are added. The hotplug application then loads the required modules
for that device.
A bug was fixed in the handling of network devices. The hotplug application
now correctly handles certain commented-out configuration directives and
addressless devices.
All users of hotplug are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
