RHBA-2005:054 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
logrotate bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated logrotate package that fixes a post bug is now available.
Description
The logrotate utility simplifys the administration of multiple log files.
Logrotate allows for automatic rotation, compression, removal, and mailing
of log files.
Logrotate can be set to handle a log file daily, weekly, monthly, or when
the log file gets to a certain size. Normally, logrotate runs as a daily
cron job.
This updated package fixes a bug where the post rotated various scripts on
a daily basis, when they were supposed to post on a weekly or monthly basis.
All users of logrotate should upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
