RHBA-2004:699 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated samba packages
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated samba packages that improve interoperability with Active Directory
services are now available.
Description
Samba provides file and printer sharing services to SMB/CIFS clients.
These updated samba packages properly indicate package dependencies required
for Samba to interoperate with Active Directory servers. In addition, a
bug that caused crashes on 64-bit platforms when attempting to join an
Active Directory domain has been fixed.
All users of Samba should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve
these issues.
