RHBA-2004:643 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated libuser packages
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated libuser packages that adress various bugs are now available.
Description
The libuser library implements a standardized interface for manipulating
and administering user and group accounts.
The updated packages address the following issues:
- Previously, programs that attempted to create a home directory using
libuser on the IBM S/390 would abort. This affected luseradd, lnewusers,
and redhat-config-users.
- The 64-bit packages failed to install if the 32-bit packages were already
installed.
Users of libuser should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve
these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
