RHBA-2004:573 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated redhat-config-netboot package
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated redhat-config-netboot package that fixes various bugs is now
available.
Description
The redhat-config-netboot package contains a utility which allows
configuration of diskless environments and network installations.
This updated package addresses the following issues:
- Two command line tools (pxeboot and pxeos) that allow administrators to
configure PXE boot environments accidently included a python library that
required an X display. These tools are unusable on a "server only"
installed machine, and have been changed by no longer including the python
library.
- Several minor fixes to the man pages and HTML help pages have been applied.
All users of the redhat-config-netboot package should upgrade to this
updated package, which resolves these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
