RHBA-2004:492 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated iputils package
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated iputils package that fixes the [-s] option in traceroute6 is
now available.
Description
The iputils package contains basic utilities for monitoring a network,
including ping. The ping command sends a series of ICMP protocol
ECHO_REQUEST packets to a specified network host to discover if the target
machine is alive and receiving network traffic.
This updated packages fixes a problem in traceroute6 where the [-s] option
did not work as expected.
All users of iputils should upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
