RHBA-2004:403 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated rusers packages
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated rusers packages that remove the requirement for procps are now
available.
Description
The rusers program allows users to find out who is logged into certain
machines on the local network. The 'rusers' command produces output
similar to 'who', but for a specified list of hosts or for all machines
on the local network.
Previous versions of the rusers package, and the included rstatd
application, had a requirement such that the procps package and the
libraries therein were required for rusers to function properly. This
caused problems when updated versions of procps were released. These
updated rusers packages contain a fix that removes the procps package
dependancy.
All users of rusers and rstatd should upgrade to these updated packages,
which resolve this issue.
