RHBA-2004:377 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated lftp packages available
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated lftp packages which fix a connection issue are now available for
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1.
Description
LFTP is a sophisticated ftp/http file transfer program that supports
bookmarks, built-in mirroring, and multiple file transfers in parallel.
When connecting through NAT or other redirection services to an FTP server,
versions of lftp prior to 2.5.3 would not properly correct the IP address
that a server provided in response to a PASV command before attempting
to connect to the server to send or receive data. In cases where the
server was unreachable except through the NAT or redirection service, the
data connection would fail.
Users of LFTP are advised to upgrade to these erratum packages, which
contain a backported fix that resolves this issue.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
