RHBA-2002:282 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
LSB compliant passwd command
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
A new passwd package is available which fixes a standards-compliance
bug in the passwd command.
Description
The version of the passwd command included in Red Hat Linux Advanced
Server 2.1 did not support the -n, -x, -w, or -i options, which are used
for adjusting password aging parameters (for accounts that support password

All Red Hat Linux Advanced Server users are advised to upgrade to this
errata package which contains a patch to support these options.

relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
