An updated version of the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) is now available
for Red Hat Linux Advanced Server. This update addresses wide character
support and deployed library detection.

Added fixed packages for Advanced Workstation 2.1
Description
These errata packages enable wide character support. Additionally, error
detection has been implemented to prevent issues arising from applications
attempting to use wide character support when the required libraries are
not installed.
Users of Red Hat Linux Advanced Server 2.1 running applications that
require wide character support are advised to install these errata packages
which provide this capability.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:
up2date
This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
