Advisory: RHSA-2000:102-04
Type: Security Advisory
Severity: N/A
Issued on: 2000-11-10
Last updated on: 2000-11-10
Affected Products: Red Hat Linux 6.2
Red Hat Linux 7.0
CVEs (cve.mitre.org): CVE-2000-0909

Details

Updated pine and imap packages are available for Red Hat Linux 5.2, 6.x and
7.

By adding specific headers to messages, the pine mail reader and the imap
server could be made to exit with an error message when users attempted to
manipulate mail folders containing those messages.

This release also introduces SSL support to Red Hat Linux 6.x, Kerberos
support for Red Hat Linux 6.0 and 6.1, and LDAP support for Red Hat Linux
6.0. This means that the packages from the enhancement advisories for
these packages will also need to be installed.

This release also fixes other, minor bugs on one or more releases.

Solution

For each RPM for your particular architecture, run:

rpm -Fvh [filename]

where filename is the name of the RPM.
