Synopsis
Transition Red Hat Network Classic Hosted to Red Hat Subscription Management
Type/Severity
Product Enhancement Advisory
Topic
This is the 3 month notification of the target date to migrate systems from
Red Hat Network Classic Hosted to Red Hat Subscription Management. All
systems using Red Hat Network Classic Hosted must be migrated to Red Hat
Subscription Management
Description
Red Hat is transitioning to Red Hat Subscription Management for all Red
Hat products by July 31, 2017. All systems registered as clients to Red
Hat Network Classic Hosted directly, or indirectly with Red Hat Proxy,
must be migrated to Red Hat Subscription Management by July 31, 2017.
Solution
As part of the retirement of RHN Hosted, systems will need to be migrated from RHN to Red Hat Subscription Management (RHSM) by July 2017. Instructions on how to migrate, as well as the latest updates to RHSM, can be found on Customer Portal.
If you do not know which update platform you are using, you can enter yum repolist into Terminal. The output in Terminal displays whether you are receiving updates from RHN or RHSM.
