Updated tcsh Shift_JIS packages that add one enhancement are now available for
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
Description
The tcsh packages provide an enhanced and widely compatible version of the C
shell (csh). Tcsh is a command language interpreter, which can be used as an
interactive login shell, as well as a shell script command processor. Shift JIS
(SJIS) is a character encoding for the Japanese language. The "tcsh Shift_JIS"
packages provide tcsh support for the SJIS encoding.
This update adds the following enhancement:
- To ensure mutual compatibility, the "tcsh Shift_JIS" packages have been
brought up to date with the latest release of the base packages in Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6. (BZ#1211103)
All users who require SJIS encoding support with tcsh are advised to upgrade to
these updated packages, which add this enhancement.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.
